Au bord: a tribute to Anderbouhr’s love of waterways.

Anderbouhr had a remarkable career. He was the youngest painter represented by the great Durand-Ruel Gallery. Beginning with his first exhibition with them in 1953, their relationship lasted through eleven one-man shows.He was the last contemporary artist living when they closed their doors in 1973. He was born on the Ile de Cite in 1909 and split his time between Casablanca, Pairs and Tours. In 2000 he returned to the Island purchasing an apartment 30 feet from where he was born. He continued to create till the end in 2006. Paul Anderbouhr had over 40 major shows in Morocco, Paris, Anvers, Ivory Coast, Germany, Japan, New York, Houston, Palm Beach, and Dallas.

Michèle Lellouche began her studies in the studio of Markoff and the Beaux-Arts of Tunis at the age of 13.
Moving to Paris during the political revolt, she finished her studies at the Beaux -Arts of Paris and in 1982 she was received at the Academy of Port -Royal.

Michele Lellouche has worked with the masters Marzelle, Ravel, Claude Schurr, JM Relange and Le More, in the Atelier Bertholle, Paris and the Ecole Glaciere, Paris
